Because when you vote, you speak for those who can’t. We’re making decisions that will make a world for the ones who are small now. And the biggest decision is TO vote. It’s not about who’s perfect, it’s about which candidate YOU think has the BEST VISION FOR A BETTER WORLD.

7 Wild Reasons to Vote (Even if you think “it ain’t for me.”) 1. It’s INTENSE. 2. You’re writing history. You’re writing YOURSELF into history. 3. How often do you get a chance to do something massively meaningful - something you will remember the rest of your life? 4. Your vote may be the most valuable thing you own. Money gets frittered. Houses burn, houses flood. Businesses fold, romance flies away. But your vote is yours for life. And it’s how you do something real and true in the world - by making something with your vote, by helping build a better future with it. 5. If you don’t vote, a choice will be made for you. Don’t let anyone make YOUR choice! 6. Commit to being one of the ones who carries it forward. 7. Whatever is bugging you about the election / voting / gov’t, we can fix it from the inside, once our candidates are voted in. Or at least patch it up. In 2018, a Virginia state election came down to a tie - two names were put in a bowl and one drawn, by hand, as the winner. The Republican and Democratic candidates for the Virginia House of Delegates both received the exact same number of votes (11,607). The Republican won the draw from the bowl. In 2000, Bush won the presidential election by only 537 votes. Almost 6 million people voted in Florida, but it was an extremely close split (2,912,790 to 2,912,253). Winning Florida tipped the Electoral College in his favor, and Bush won the presidency. So those last 537 Republicans in Florida who voted? – they turned out to be casting extremely crucial votes. You never know when YOUR vote will be extremely crucial. In 1960, Kennedy defeated incumbent Vice President Nixon by only 112,827 votes.
